Legacy Donations

If you are thinking of leaving a gift in your will to charity, a legacy to Going for Bust can help enable us to continue to commit to helping people who are experiencing, or recovering from breast cancer and we will also be able to continue to help our local hospitals, hospices and support groups throughout Dorset and Hampshire.

We are extremely grateful for all gifts in wills, no matter how large or small. Every gift makes a difference in enabling us to continue our work. It has never been simpler to leave a gift in your will, here are three different ways of leaving a gift.

  1. A Specific - this is the gift of an easily identifiable item such as some jewellery, a picture, an investment or property.
  2. A Pecuniary - this is the gift of a set amount of money
  3. A Residuary - this is the gift of the residue of the estate left over after all other gifts are accounted for and all estate expenses have been settled.

Going for Bust strongly recommends when making, or amending your will that you contact a legally qualified solictor (Bournemouth & District Law Society can give you a list of solicitors in the area) or professional will writer, who has passed an examination in the subject of wills with a recognised legal training provider (The Institute of professional will writers can give you a list of will writers in the area).

When gifting, please make sure that you have all the relevant information required - the charity's name, address and charity number. Please find ours below:
